Rick Perry came to Denton. Peterbilt welcomed him. They are building LNG big rigs.
(Let’s pause for a moment and imagine one of those hitting an overpass ….. ….. …. …. …. …. ok, done.)
The Denton Record-Chronicle wrote a story about the “press conference” where our governor took no questions from the press. Channel 8 reported that he hasn’t taken any questions from the press for about six weeks.
For all of you who have been singing along with Rick, thinking he’s a good conservative, you really need to wake up and smell the ozone.
Perry says he believes in private property rights.
Except his kind makes your rights second to “privatized” highway projects, the shale gas boom, and T. Boone voting himself a water district with eminent domain power.
We liked this comment on the DRC story best:
The whole thing was staged as a love fest for Perry and his state legislative robots. He talked about how wonderful Tarrant and Dallas counties are and never ONCE even mentioned Denton. He did not even know where he was giving his speech. It was insulting to anyone from Denton (city and county).
We have mixed feelings. At least if Gov. Good Hair ran for president, it would get him out of Austin.
We don’t think he stands a chance against a real conservative.
You know, the kind that respects property rights.

We’ve already established Perry’s an idiot!
Any new news?
I’ve met a lot of politicians with swagger. Only a handful have true courage.
Is that his real hair? I thought it was a toupee.
If my hair falls out, do I lose my super powers?
If he lived in the Gas Patch it would be a sure thing his hair would fall out…at least some of it!!
And his eyelashes!!
And eyebrows.
And his brain.
