Natural Gas Infrastructure Next Door

by admin on September 21, 2010

Today at the Argyle Collection Facility on Jeter Rd., compressors are getting installed. They are massive and they are loud. Two compressors are already in place – we will post new video footage as the others arrive.

Williams says the compressors will be housed in pretty barns and the barn structures will drastically reduce noise and improve aesthetics. According to Williams, outside of the barns, the sound level will be similar to that of a residential air conditioner.

Those will be some pretty mighty barns.

I guess they decided to start wearing their flame retardant safety outfits. Good that means they’re paying attention.

I guess Williams likes their equipment already rusty and crusty. I love how they put that rusted one in the back – they are gonna need some pretty spanking huge barns to cover up those things.

Reduce, reuse, recycle.

Everyone should use wind and solar power instead of natural gas for hot water and electricity. Why is it so expensive to use solar panels and wind generators?! That shouldn’t be. Natural gas is an energy source that’s totally unnecessary.

Sam, it is nice to know there are some people out there who get the big picture!

We couldn’t agree with you more, Sam. We need more “big picture” thinkers so stick around.
